In situ oil burner
In the last 6 months, we have been developing a floating incinerator that makes it easier and safer to conduct in-situ burning. We have performed several successful tests on the prototype and at this point we want to share our accomplishments.
There are many challenges associated with in-situ burning. Apart from the enviromental impact the emission represent, the ignition process itself is also a high risk operation. To make in-situ burning easier, cleaner and safer we have have developed a floating incinerator who can operate in conventional booms and be rapidly deployed.
By the use of a unique concept developed by us, the oil burner can autonomously collect an burn fuels in all ranges of viscosity. The result is a cleaner and controllable combustion that can be wirelessly termintated in case of emergency.
We are proud to present this introduction video that explains the concept and shows footage from one of our tests. See attached Youtube video/link:
- Less emissions
- Autonomous ignition and combustion
- Can be used with conventional booms
- Burn highly emulsified oil
- Increases the window of opportunity for in-situ burning.
